Heat Advisory
The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for Massachusetts on Monday, July 7.
The advisory warned that the heat index might climb to 96 degrees and, coupled with high humidity, may “cause heat illnesses.”
With temperatures over 95 today, it is important to be aware of symptoms that indicate heat-related illness. Adults 65+ are considered at risk during prolonged periods of extreme heat, and the CDC recommends checking in on older adults twice a day during extreme heat events.
