Minuteman Senior Services' Celebrates 50 Years of Impact!
On November 5th, Minuteman Senior Services celebrated our 50th Anniversary, surrounded by long-term community partners, past and present staff members, amazing board members, and on-going supporters of Minuteman.
It was truly humbling to see our community come together to celebrate not only such an important milestone, but also our shared mission of helping older adults in our communities live with independence and dignity.
Thank you to all who attended our in-person event, sponsored our event, donated auction items, bid on auction items- and most important, those who have supported us for the last 50 years. We would not be able to do this without you.
Congratulations again to Rita Shah, The LGBTQIA+ Aging Project- Fenway Health , and the Cummings Foundation . Minuteman depends on community partners like you, and we are incredibly grateful to be able to honoree three amazing people/organizations!
Minuteman’s most important contribution to the life of the community was then – and remains today – the positive impact of its service staff on the quality of life of elders and family caregivers. Minuteman’s case managers, social workers, volunteer companions, chore workers, home delivered meals volunteers, and the hundreds of homemakers and personal care workers who work for its purchased service providers, make a positive difference in the quality of life ofthe area’s older residents. I pay tribute to the depth of their compassion, caring and dedication.
